New Year's Eve Concert
31.12.2026, 09:30 pm, Sankt Maria Kirche Schramberg
Manuel Blessing, Organ
Quintessenz-Brass
Manuel Blessing grew up in Tennenbronn and began playing the piano at the age of six, followed by the organ at thirteen. He subsequently completed "C-level" of church music and pursued university studies in school music with a major in organ at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts. Manuel Blessing performs in various churches across the Rhine-Neckar region, including the Jesuit churches in Heidelberg and Mannheim, participating in both church services and concerts.
The Quintessenz-Brass ensemble has been performing in its core lineup for over 15 years. Their mission is to interpret music as a quintet across a wide variety of styles. Their repertoire is extensive and diverse, ranging from true classics and early music to modern and exotic pieces, often performed in collaboration with other soloists or ensembles. They have previously collaborated with organists, choirs, percussion ensembles, handbell groups, and harpists.
Quintessenz thoroughly enjoys experimenting, discovering, and interpreting music in new ways. Christoph Noreiks, Daniel Broghammer, Stefan Broghammer, and Thomas Moosmann have their musical roots in their respective music associations or orchestras. Ben Roundtree, a composer, conductor, and leader of the professional ensemble EUROBRASS who hails from the USA, joined the group in 2017 as a tubist and arranger.
