Andreas Jetter, Chur, Organ
Andreas Jetter, born in 1978 in Albstadt-Ebingen, began his church music training during his school years as a gifted student. Until 2001, his teachers included Konrad Klek (Erlangen), Kay Johannsen (Stuttgart), Johannes Mayr (Stuttgart), and Thomas Schäfer-Winter (Salzburg/Venice). He received further inspiration through private lessons and masterclasses with Ton Koopman (Amsterdam), Peter Planyavsky (Vienna), Denial Roth (Paris), Francois-Henri Houbart (Paris), David Andrews (Boston), and others. As a pianist, he graduated with distinction from the Rachmaninoff Institute in Tambov, Russia, and performed with leading orchestras on renowned stages around the world. Further studies followed at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, as well as in Esslingen, Tübingen, and Trossingen. For the Koch Discover label, he recorded the complete piano concertos of Sergei Rachmaninoff with the Moldova Philharmonic under the direction of Dietrich Schüller-Manno. Additional CDs featuring piano concertos by Brahms, Schumann, and Stanford are available from Antes Edition (Bella Musica).
Concert tours as an organist have taken him to well-known European cathedrals and cathedrals. Radio and television productions in various countries, as well as CD recordings, round off his work at the organ.
Since 2010, Andreas Jetter has been the Cathedral Music Director at Chur Cathedral (Switzerland), where he oversees the choirs, all instrumental and vocal ensembles, and also the two cathedral organs. As Cathedral Music Director, he is also responsible for the artistic direction of the Chur Cathedral Concerts and the Cathedral Organ Summer Festival. Furthermore, since 2013, Andreas Jetter has been the Minster Cantor at the Minster ULF in Radolfzell on Lake Constance.
